If you have any questions or concerns that you would like to discuss with us then please do drop into the office to make an appointment to see us, we are more than happy to meet with you to discuss any issues

We have been very happy to see so many of the children wearing their full correct school uniform and setting such a brilliant example for the rest of the school, thank you.

We would like to remind you that all children should have a school PE kit to change into as we will have regular lessons each week.

We encourage all children to bring a water bottle to class, which they can refill at regular intervals during the day in order to keep themselves well hydrated and to keep their brains working to the best of their ability. Please could you make sure that water bottles are labelled clearly with the child's full name.

In Year 1 reading at home  is vitally important for the children, please remember that you have access to  Bug Club to support this.

In addition all children should continue to read at home, at least three times a week with an adult and have their reading records signed. Further to this some children will continue to receive their phonics books and they should practise and consolidate the sounds and words at home.

Children should have their reading records, reading books and sound books (if applicable) in school every day. Reading records will be checked by a member of the Y1 team once a week.

Please remember to use My Maths at home to support your child's learning. Tasks will be set by teachers when appropriate to reinforce learning.  General number activities can be accessed at any point.

As we move through the Summer Term hopefully the weather will get warmer. Please ensure that children have a sun hat/cap to wear and that you have applied sun cream at home.
