We run a wide varirety of after-school clubs each term. Through these, we aim to give our children extra opportunities to develop their talents, learn new skills, and broaden and extend their education. These are also occasions when staff and children can meet in a slightly more informal way to share a common interest and enthusiasm in an enjoyable and educational situation.
Members of staff organise and run these clubs voluntarily and we appreciate the time and preparation that is taken to give the children these experiences.
Our clubs include sports such as netball, rugby, gymnastics and hockey (plus others!), art, dance, drama, film and animation, creative writing, maths, sewing, gardening and computing. We also run family learning clubs, where children can attend with adults from home. We have only be running these for a short time, but so far they have included cooking, art and mosaics, and computing. The range of clubs on offer changes each term.
We believe that all children should be given the opportunity to become involved in extra-curricular activities during their time at Fairholme. Our clubs always prove very popular, and we will do our best to enable as many children as possible to take part each term. Some of our clubs are specifically set up for particular age groups. The range of opportunities increases as the children become older.
